All of London 3x3’s British players were selected for the Team England training camp ahead of the qualifying event.
London 3x3 players Ashley Hamilton, Jamell Anderson, Veron Eze, Evan Walshe and Toto Fagbenle were all selected for Team England’s Commonwealth Games qualifying training camp last week, underlining the strength of British talent within the London 3x3 programme.
A special congratulations goes to Ashley Hamilton and Jamell Anderson, who were both named in the final Team England squad for the Home Nations qualifying event in Manchester last weekend.
England produced a dominant performance throughout the tournament, winning all three of their pool stage games before defeating Northern Ireland 21-9 in Sunday’s final.
The result secures their place at the Commonwealth Games, which begin on 24 July in Glasgow, where England will look to defend the title they won in 2022 after a thrilling overtime victory against Australia.
London 3x3 would also like to extend its congratulations to the whole of Team England, with the women’s team also going undefeated in the qualifying tournament to book their place in Glasgow.
Everyone at London 3x3 wishes Team England the very best of luck and looks forward to watching London 3x3 players compete internationally, as they continue to showcase and elevate British basketball.
