Road to Deqing

London 3x3 travel to Deqing for their fifth World Tour event of the season, aiming to finish their inaugural campaign on a high.

Concluding a season that has seen them grow with every appearance, the team arrive in China ready to showcase their progress and complete the year with a statement performance on the global stage. The squad features the return of Jerome Desrosiers, who joins Evan Walshe, Justin Pierce and Ryan Langborg in a versatile and experienced group who are capable of competing with the very best.

Whilst Ashley Hamilton is sidelined after sustaining an injury two weeks ago at the Mataró Challenger, ending his remarkable streak of appearances in every London outing this season, the team are determined to channel his competitive spirit in Deqing and finish the campaign decisively.

London’s pool includes Toulouse, the world number four and one of the most consistent and physical teams on the circuit, but their first challenge will be against Seef, a team ranked below them. Confident in their preparation, London will view that matchup as the perfect opportunity to start strong and build momentum heading into the rest of the competition. With their blend of athleticism, shooting, and grit, this new combination of players, fielded together for the first time, has all the tools to make a real impact.

The wider field in Deqing features powerhouse teams such as the formidable Ub, Liman and Riffa, as well as ambitious challengers like Marbella, who defeated London in Mataro. London have shown throughout the season that they belong at this level, with their recent playoff appearance in Mataró proving their ability to compete with and challenge the elite. With this new combination of players and a nothing-to-lose mindset, this could be London’s chance to cause an upset.
